Dreamers Dream Silly Things Poem by Isaac Dutton

Dreamers Dream Silly Things

Rating: 5.0

Dreamers dream of silly things.
But who's to judge the way we play
When dreamers dream of silly things?
But take the day and be someone else
When dreamers dream of silly things!
Starstruck colors fill the air
When dreamers dream of silly things.
Enchanting granting magic spell
When dreamers dream of silly things.
In these thoughts we dwell
When dreamers dream of silly things.
For if we couldn't that would be hell
If dreamers couldn't dream of silly things.
Drown in our wishes so profound,
Make us stay on the ground.
Loss of flight, fading light, and sorrow bound
Is where we would be
If dreamers couldn't dream of silly things.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Often in life I get told by my peers that the things I want to do, or the ways I think are 'silly'. One day I was speaking to a coworker about such things and she gave me the expected reply that she thought that my desired adventure was silly. I was then inspired to write this poem as a reply.
