Man of masses
Man of simplicity
Man par excellence
From poor life
To People's President
Through life of struggle
As India's missile programme chief
As a school teacher
As a good preacher
As The Missile Man of India
As The BharatRatna

While others teaching us
To stop dreaming fuss
You thought us to dream, yes
But with vision, mission and work.

On wings of fire
You flew high
In to the sky
Like a butterfly
Removing wry
In people who vie
Asking us to try
Without any shy
Life to glorify
Thoughts to magnify
Success to multiply
Hearts to occupy
Minds to purify

With your ignited mind
You kindled my thoughts
With your exalting thoughts
You heartend my soul
A tribute to your love
I promise you now
I do my part anyhow
Like you
