Dreamer. Poem by M. Jennifer Axder

Dreamer.

Rating: 5.0

Pulling me close as i lay my head on your shoulder
silently thanking the weather for getting colder.
i softly hum a melody for awhile,
And your lips twitch with a small smile
I wonder how in the world you became mine
And with a startle i am suddenly awake,
Shaking my head i feel my heart break
Night after night you light up a flame
But i'll will never, remember your name.

Night after night you light up a flame But i'll will never, remember your name. Powerful ending. A ten for me. Thank you, Jennifer

How nice it would be, if everything in a dream can be real too! Hearty feelings, beautifully expressed. Thanks for sharing the dreamer's thoughts.
