Dream Reality Poem by April Pearl

Dream Reality

Rating: 3.5

Enroute to my village,
sitting by the window,
With a flurry of thoughts,
Heard a pleasant voice amongst the noise

A lady, her long hair tied with jasmine,
Her hair still wet, water trinklets on her back,
Making her curves visible,
Looking fresh like the flowers bathed in dew drops at dawn,
The fragrance of it so strong,
Made my heart dance.

Every move the bangles crinkled,
Her tender hands gripping and her body hugging the rod.
Not once my eyes blinked, eager to take a glance,
Capture her in my memory,
Weave a story of love for my lonely soul,
Praise her to glory till I reach my goul,
Make her mine, keep her fine.

Amidst my fantasy,
Lucky me, an empty seat,
She sat beside me, the goddess of beauty,
Her looks so engrossing,
Face clear as water,
Her lips painted from pink roses.

Never had I held myself so tight,
Locked my hands and sat,
Held my tongue not to utter a word,
Fearing it throat went dry,
My heart racing aloud,
My vision blurred,
My thoughts clouded,
Praying for time to remain still,
Until I tell her my will,
Hoping she will join my journey.

I wake up and see, her head resting in my arms,
She is that woman,
She is my wife,
The love of my life.
