Dream In Dream Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Dream In Dream

Dream in dream

Now I know was dream
In dream had dream
Joyfully wanted to
Go out to scream.

It was you;
I tired.

Was moving the bookshelf
One floor to other
And was lost.

Somewhere he, an unknown
Kept sheep and animals
As if saw in Kabul
During Taliban.

The Koochis came to town
They took and occupied
The buildings broken
Turned ruins, thanks to
Wars and the fights
Internal, external.

Sure Nomads did not know
Life in the multi-floors
Animals were kept in
Second and third floors…

Funny was as was sad…

Where could be residents?
Immigrants in deserts! ! ! ?
Raped, beaten and ransacked?
I saw some, recorded!

In the midst of dreams
You came and spelled word,
Your smile so lovely
And the words too sweet:
"Hi daddy, we will meet."
