Dream, Dream Every Night Poem by Hebert Logerie

Dream, Dream Every Night

Turn off the light
Be ready for a wondrous night
Lay down on a soft or firm surface
Cover and hide your face
Close firmly your eyes
And ignore the defenseless flies
Outside of your bedroom
However keep a big broom
By your bedside, stay quiet and cool
You'll be dreaming like a fool
Life, night and day, is a dream
It's like ice-cream on a Sunday
Enjoy the crust and the sugary cream
Maybe later, you will have to repay
Your gain, if you do not exaggerate
Be brave and resigned to your fate.

Pray, dream and hope
Dream, enjoy life and hope.

Dream, dream every night
Make the lights unbright
That's your right to dream
To perch on a high beam
To wake-up in the morning
To be realistic and pragmatic
To hear the birds and the divas sing
To be happy and ecstatic.

Dream, dream all night long
Deeply with a wonderful song.
