Dream Book Poem by William Waterway

Dream Book

I awaken early dawn
shaken by a vision
from hidden dimension
presented in a dream
of floating book
with daunting look

Bound in leather - dark brown
with corners adorned - gold
filigree
edges well worn

Cryptic symbols hint of contents
secrets of rhyme and verse
keys to our universe

A hand reaches
to grasp The Book
from distant place near
in cloudy mystery
with font fashioned by
ethereal quill

On its face
there is no title
or internal feathered ribbon
to reveal place
beginning and end

The same they be
in book composed
for eternity
