Dream Big Poem by Rebeckah Schroeder

People tell you to dream big,
to reach for the stars,
to be who you want to be.

But whats the point,
You can do all you can do,
but it wont come true.

Because life is not how hard you wish,
its if you are in the right place at the right time.
You need luck to get by in life,
But the only thing is there is no luck in this world.

And if you are not in the right place at the right time,
or if you have no luck in your life,
then your going to have to live life
wishing your life was different.

Wishing and wishing,
but some time you are going
to have to look back at reality.

Because you can be wishing and dreaming,
but eventually reality is going to catch up with you,
and once you've seen it, it's hard to go back,
to your wishing and dreaming.

So dream all you want,
wish upon that star,
but once you look back at reality,
you're going to have to expect small.

Expect small of your life,
expect small of your dreams,
expect small of everything.
