Dragonfly Sequence Poem by Martin A. Ramos

Dragonfly Sequence

Rating: 4.5

early morning mist
already the barn fowl scavenging
but not the dragonflies

the pond's surface
forever moving, forever still
a darting drangonfly

nuance of ripples
a large iridescent dragonfly
on the pond's surface

floating
on crystalline pond water
a black-eyed dragonfly

all summer long
the sparkle of pond water
and dragonfly wings

dragonfly-
a water splash-
no dragonfly

this winter
mushroom-shaped clouds
no more dragonflies

You did it again, this was a very clever and colorful read, your details such a belly dance to the imagination. Made me wonder what inspired you to write this one.
