Down The Road Poem by Miranda Van Yperen

Down The Road

Rating: 5.0

Down a road that never ends
Living life with my friends

I'm having fun can't you see
But there’s more to life then just me

I need someone to help me stand
Someone I can trust for a helpful hand

Knowing this I can't say no
I just cannot let you go

I know who I need
Who can take on the lead

Mending my heart
From the very start

It was you who was there
The one who really cared

I know what my heart has said
Without you I’d be dead

You have healed me since day one
Now there is no way I can run

I know that you are who I crave
I don’t care; I’ll be your slave

So, on a path that has no end
It's you I want; who needs friends

Wanting nothing more than you
This is what I need to do

Adore you for evermore
Admire you like no one before

The classic signs of first love =D I agree, do not be a slave. In fact, if you play your cards right, you can make the man in your life YOUR slave. ;)
