Doubting Heart

I'll wait in line
You take your time

The road to ruin
Comes none too soon

What's left at stake
In loves handshake

Is something that
My heart can't fake

You stayed awhile
And made me smile

Then on your way
Another day

That's the way
They often say

That love is sometimes
Cast away

An olive branch
You can extend

My love is real
I can't pretend

Midst darkest skies
And saddest sighs

My long lost friend
Is this the end?

I dare not think
Or I will cry

A love like ours
Should never die

I'd rather call him "Star."
It's very mean of Science
