Double Speak Poem by Usha Pisharody

Double Speak

Rating: 3.0

Wheels within wheels
Lines between lines
Persons inside persons

So many innuendos
hypocrisy..

Misaffection
silences that gouge
deep gaping wounds

Lavished briefly
with a salve of
sweet words

And then you're
back to being a
stone man -
stone-heart, stone-mind

With a double edged knife
to twist in my soul

I am
after all
yours.

This one is very deep and has many connotations…like it says so many innuendos..same is the case here…so much is erupted while reading these lines… the simulation and indifference …. ‘the double speak’ …… brain teasing but very pleasing

A painful poem. Perhaps you shoul sharpen the knife on the stone! F

yes...so don't mind the knife. the stone turns soft at least once in a while briefly, is'nt it?
