from "Curious Creatures"
The dog on other side of the fence
thought he had a firm grip
on the situation:every time he barked
the two cats apparently scared out of their wits
would high-tail it out of his way.
Until the day the dog managed
to cross that border of chain link
that separated them:the report is
he got himself so scratched and bit
he was mind and body permanently changed.
Very funny! You mean like when an armchair critic actually tries to do something himself, that kind of thing?
yes, the pride of thinking we are in control (the chain links of our thought) as opposed to the reality. as the bumper sticker says, don't believe everything you think... thanks for reading and commenting, laurie. -glen

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. That's what we think.! But you have proved it otherwise through this very interesting dog and cat story. Enjoyed reading it, Glen!
glad you enjoyed it, geeta. like the dog this happened to, sometimes the so-called negative experiences are necessary for self-awareness. thank you for the time and affirmation of your comments. -glen
