Dorothy Poem by Eugene Levich

Dorothy

Rating: 5.0

It’s 27th February
Her birthday
How she fills my memory
And my heart
Not just today
But every day.

She walks along the avenue
In that city - heavenly for me,
As long as she was with me,
So long ago in my memory.

She walks gracefully
Like a gazelle,
Vulnerable,
But also a panther,
Seeking,
A huntress
So filled with beauty.

Today is 27th February
Her birthday...

Your comment on my commas is highly commendable! Thank you.

How important a little comma can be! you DO use a comma after and before Seeking. good for you! bri ;)

Eugene, i guess i can find nothing to not like in this poem. except that i have had no one in MY life (so far) for whom i can say i've had the same feeling(s) . lucky you, even though she is absent, physically, now...............assuming this is actually about a loved one in your life, and not a well-imagined story. i'm glad you didn't say i miss her so, 'cause then the poem would contain a little sadness; we don't need THAT! a memory is ok, especially when it is so wonderful. a wife? care to tell me? thanks for sharing. bri :) i especially enjoyed: She walks gracefully Like a gazelle, Vulnerable, But also a panther, Seeking, A huntress So filled with beauty. .........................thanks for the punctuation, which helps us readers.
