Doors Poem by Nicole Silvia

Doors

Rating: 5.0

Again the door has closed tight
I am left in a sullen dark space
Wound into myself through the night
Feeling alive, but so out of place
I wonder what new rooms will present
I wonder if love will find me in this maze
Any aid would help
Any map that is sent
Anything at all …
That could guide me through this phase
Perhaps if I numb my heart I'd see clearer
See the cracks of light piercing windows and doors
I can smell it, hear it, that which I seek is nearer
Tuck in thy heart which bleeds, trickles, pours
No door is closed forever
For they all have a key
My mind must remain clever
If ever I wish to be free

oh, wow.. thank you so much! That means a lot! Especially since I always wonder whether or not the feelings or subjects I'm trying to write about make sense to other people. I am so happy to hear that you like it, and even more happy to know that you can relate. Thank you for your feed back.

You may think you are a beginner but let me tell you this poem was an awesome write. I felt it; I can definately relate to this experience. Had many lines I liked. But the one I liked the most 'No door is closed forever For they all have a key' These lines were a turing point from a negative to a positive feel.
