Door Poem by Chime Hilary Uchenna

Door

if you have a door
guide it well,
secure it jealously
for it is a passage for all
the known and the unknown
the priest; and the robbers
market women and the rowdy crowd

if you have a door
an entrance or exit of sorts
mark it well
and when the flings got broken
waste no time to get it fixed
all your life; all about it
could depend on it
