Treasure Island

Done

Feeling dead
Wasting away

Lying here
All these past days

Desire to flee
and to escape

Wanting to run away
But I lack motivation
Consequence and deprivation

When I say I love you
It seems you look the other way

Coming closer
Moving in
Feels like I'm further and caving in

A house of cards
Falling down

Domino effect
Can't reverse it
Can't turn it around

Got to accept it
And start over from the barren ground

Oh how foundation
Is so important
All results come from the base
Survival only if you're in a good place

Nutrition
Nourishment
Got to get with it

Reaching with ambition
Growing above all else
Or else
You'll certainly get trampled on

And even then
When you're the best that you can be
You may still be trampled on
Plucked and pulled
And cut down
For there just ain't no guarantee

ARM’D year! year of the struggle!
No dainty rhymes or sentimental love verses for you, terrible year!
