Don'T Shut Me Out Poem by Edwina Reizer

Don'T Shut Me Out

Don't shut me out
dear heart of mine.
For if you do
you'll hear me whine
and cry aloud
in sadness cold.
For a hardened heart
can make you old.

Don't shut me out
because he's gone.
Let me in.
Let the beat go on.
Give me a chance
to love anew.
Dear heart, I beg
for I'm so blue.
