Don'T Play It Safe Poem by Kate Gabrielle

Don'T Play It Safe

(This is a song I wrote, not exactly a poem, but I think it passes)

I'm sick and tired of being in the back
Invisible, unknown
That's the side I've shown
You're always told to play it safe
Stick to the rules no matter what
That's what we've been taught

But I don't wanna play it safe no more
My heart's beatin' to the sound of a drum
My voice is lookin' for a song to hum
I can't stop my crazy feet
from hoppin' into the street
NO LONGER! !

DON'T PLAY IT SAFE! !
No, no, no
Go your own way! !
