Don'T Let Them Bury The Light Poem by Melissa Koeman

Don'T Let Them Bury The Light

The curtains closed
All the doors are locked
The flickering of a light
With your ear to the wall
Listening to the emptiness
Not a soul on that otherside

The world is dead to you
The people are one threatening mass
Waiting with their torches
To burn it all down
To bury you with all your haloes
Prejudice triumphs
They will never comprehend
And you gave up
Gave up on mankind,
that put you and your inner world to a shame

Don’t let them bury the light
Let the halo shine
Fight them with whatever you can find
Get up,
Pull that trigger,
pick that apple
Make your paradise

Bring me your light
Then I bring you my love
