Don'T Dwell On What Might Have Been Poem by Ray Hansell

Don'T Dwell On What Might Have Been

The maybe's and the could be's
Dance inside my head
I think of what might have been
If only the right words were said

You say we should have met
When we were young and free
But there is no guarantee
That you would have fallen in love with me

Sometimes I think it's pointless
Bringing up the if's ands and but's
Because we can never change
What isn't and what never was
