Don'T Be A Sailor Poem by D.D Sherman

Don'T Be A Sailor

Out to the sea my wanderer chose
Only to see the same colours as me
Looking to the sky above.
Looking to the waters below.

Just the boundless space
All the colossal distance.
I become a year
And you a Millenium
Just like you, I feel the many waves crashing down on us.

My dear wanderer, my love is just like the ocean too
So please don't you even move, so please don't you even take a step
Take off that cap that
Covers your head
Then surrender to my song and my embrace
