Don'T Ask You? Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Don'T Ask You?

Dont ask you? Why?
Why such a frown,
Why are you so down?
Cut it out, you look like a clown.

Don't ask you? Why?
Such a gloomy face at hand,
Go to hell and be damned,
Nobody likes a sad person at hand.

Don't ask you? Why?
What happened all of a sudden,
Sadness for so long is a sad disposition.
Why don't you brighten up and get rid of your notion.

Get away and get out? Why?
I want to help you.
Don't you see what I'm saying is true?
Once your sad, sadness sticks like glue.

Stay here? Okay and why not?
I see, he left you and left you behind.
So what? It happends to many of our kind.
So what? Everyone fights but you will find,
That happiness is the road to a peaceful mind.

Stay here? Okay and why not?
But now what is it,
You have gotten over the fight,
You feel happy and bright?
Good, smile with all your might.

Don't go away? Well, you see?
See, I have to go away,
Nice talking to you today,
Now stay this way.
