Don't Poem by piumi wijenayake

Don't

Rating: 3.5

Don't walk behind me
I won't lead
Don't walk in front of me
I won't follow

Don't show me your pitiful face
Cause I don't want to be pitied
Don't show me your loving face
Cause, I don't want to be loved

Don't show me how sad you are
No, you are not
Don't be so happy that you won the game
Your satisfying happiness is temperarily

Don't say anything to me
In order to gain my trust
Cause you can not be trusted

Some people are really not worthy of our love. A paradoxical point is that they are not worth to be hated either 'cause hatred damages us more than them. Life is not easy, but if we manage to look at the sun or a flower, some beauty is almost always around to make life beautiful... :)

I think the poem needs a poey's short note to explain the reason for such a hate. Anyway hate has been effectively described in this poem.

A beautiful poem giving the message the poet wants to give in a straight forward manner.
