Dog's Lamentation. Poem by M S Ahas

Dog's Lamentation.

I awake from slumber at midnight
With high sound of a dog.
I pick up a stone and throw to him.
He runs but recreates noisy sound.

He laments
And ridicules me for throwing stone.
He mourns for my cruelty
As he guards to protect me from foes.

He knows his destiny
For he is a kind of dog.
He knows his prizes
As he guards his master.

M S Ahas.
