Dog Eats Dog Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Dog Eats Dog

Dog eat dog

Two friends did discuss
New-Old, ways of life
Of the dogs' past to now,
Rose voices, almost fight.

"What is life? "
"Waste of time! "
"Insulted as if dog."
"What the hell? "
"The barker, barking bark! "
"You are wrong."
"How could I? "
"Then blind…"

Heard echoes of drunks
Voices loud and words wild:
"Look, look, look, " one shouted.
Pointed at a dog on grass of roadside
Held the leash a woman, nearby.
"Look at it, is shitting…" then stopped
"And so what? " was reply.
"Wait and watch…"

Dog finished, woman came with glove
Took the poo, set in bag.
"Lucky they…I mean dogs…"
Friend laughed: "Understand! "
"And truth? "
"Lucky them, shit and walk…we collect."
