Dog Disrupts Quaker Meeting Poem by Anita Wisniewska

Dog Disrupts Quaker Meeting

Rating: 5.0

A silly bouncing boisterousness

A wagging friendly tail

Dirty paws on laps!

And from behind the clouds

Of serious adult faces

Smiles break out

Earnest discussion

Is summarily interrupted

Affection overflows

Curiosity erupts

Hands rush to stroke

Silky brown fur.

He's a dog

With no notion of right or wrong

Of who does or doesn't belong

But he brings us closer together

With his generous, trusting heart.
