Does Something Every time

when I first met you
I wasn't looking for anything too serious
I wasn't looking for anything but a friend
someone to hang with and talk to time to time
then I could never really seem to understand
What would begin to unravel, it overcomes me
there you are on my mind, have I caught feelings?
the revelation baffles me and it could be

Just cuddling on the couch watching movies
does something every time we touch
when we close our eyes and kiss passionately
does something every time we touch
and I was not expecting for this to happen
I didn't think you would win over my heart

and it's what you do to me
that has got me so open baby
it's exactly where my heart wants to be
there's something about you
that got me
wanting to be there in bed laying with your arms around me
waking up to you in the early morning having breakfast in bed
like the one time before
I have never imagined myself feeling this in love again

you're beautiful
You have put the spark into my heart
and now I glow
and there's not one day that goes by
where I do not think of you
you pulled me in and it has gotten this far
spending time with you have opened my heart

ARM’D year! year of the struggle!
No dainty rhymes or sentimental love verses for you, terrible year!
Not you as some pale poetling, seated at a desk, lisping cadenzas
