Do You Really Still Want Wars? Poem by Terence George Craddock

Do You Really Still Want Wars?

did not the poets lovers of peace
come to bestow blessings of peace
prosperity upon all the people paradise
flowered in gardens crops grew in fields
abundence happiness laughter flows like rivers
streams of love ripple throughout fertile lands
children play run skip sing with strong limbs
strangers friends family meet with joyful smiles
but hawks of war slaughtered passive white doves
wolves savage ravaged killed sheep in their pastures
disease hate spread plague suffering starvation fruits
wasted limbs skeleton survivors walk fall in crater ruins
civilians perish unburied amongst target bombed out cities
do you really still want wars will you embrace blessing peace?
