Do you love me the way I love you?
Now I don't mean that puppy love
Or that 'like everyone else' love
I mean that butterflies in your stomach love
That I don't need any one else because I got you love
Now do you love me the way I love you?
You're nodding your head, but are you sure it's true
Let me ask you again… Do you love me the way I love you?
Now I'm not talking about that one day we're married next day we're single love
Or that you do so much for me so I have to love you kind of love
I mean that poor down and out but I still love you type of love
That I support whatever you do and encourage you type of love
Now… Are you sure you love me the way I love you?
And not that always together never argue never pout love
Because we all know that doesn't exist in the real world
Or that love you one day and someone else the next day love
What I'm talking about is that wouldn't trade you for all the money in the world love
Or that I can't imagine, don't imagine, won't imagine myself with anyone else kind of love
So how about now… Do you love me the way I love you?
