Do Tell Poem by Ruth L. Rivers

Do Tell

Tell me what you see out the windows
What do you observe of the trees
and the sky and the houses
What do you see?
Tell me what you think you know about
What knowledge makes sense
and where does it fit in
to time present?
Tell me what you feel in all world’s mess
What passions stirring colors night
and when do they calm
during suns light?

Tell me now what you perceive in all this
What has changed with each new
and broken assumption?
speak altered truth
Tell me how sights distorted in new place
What becomes original once the old
and tired is rearranged?
Tales shift as told.

Ah Ruth: Indeed, I will tell you about what I see in the trees. I am a tree person, I love them and I take pictures of them, and yes, I write poems about them. Please read my 'Trees'. You will see another side of them. Adeline
