Do Not Live With The Regret Poem by Raymond Farrell

Do Not Live With The Regret

Rating: 5.0

Do not live
With the regret
Of having never
Ventured
Beyond the safety
Of the harbor
Choosing only
To live
Vicariously through others
Thrilled by their stories
Of the high seas
Enchanted by the tales
Of exotic islands
With pristine beaches
Enthralled by stories
Of storms so violent
The faint hope of surviving
Was nearly extinguished
Overwhelmed by the feeling
Of how
The vastness of the ocean
Drew them in
But better
You should
Draw anchor
Slip your moorings
And set sail
Than some day
Lie dying
Wishing you had.
