a distinction between two people
a reaction in their heart
a reaction filled with feelings no one else can start


before they were living a life
a life with a pattern a life with a schedual
but now theres one person in their life
that will remain perpetual

can something so real seem as if it never happened
can something so unbelievable
set of such an undenyable reaction

an affection like no other an affection of delight
something so powerful that theres a future near insight
meeting in a place of worship sourrounded by people like a masquerade
seeing that person across the room all those faces around begin to fade.

a recollection of our short past
but our memorys ahead will always last
a devotion like no other to our father to our faith
both relying in the lord to keep us safe

realizing that this can only be a start of something new
a start with no end but a never ending pursuit
can we set aside our differences
can we look beyond our flaws
theres nothing between the love that has developed not even
the worlds laws

when our eyes meet for that second in time
its like our worlds were separated then like a blur aligned
our laughters fill a silence that speaks but stays quiet
a freindship we share there is nothing like it

They call it lust and infatuation
raging hormones and manipulation
but aside the things they say
theres one thing i cant desmay

that what his smile does to a girl like me
can only be describe as a burn to the heart 3rd degree
a friendship that speaks outloud
but feelings that hide in doubt

a friend for life is what i say
a friend for life is what i mean
a friend for a shoulder that will be there to lean

as cheezy as this sounds
and as corny is it is
i am your friend for life
its so clear its hard to miss

friends forever is what we are
friends forever no matter where you move
no matter how far.
