Distant Memory Poem by Elisia Cardona

Distant Memory

In good time I'll disappear
In the midmorning I won't be here
But I'll be in your lost memory
I may come back
Or I may not
I'll never see you again just like you wanted
I never seen you smile
I'll never hear you laugh
So I'll never hear or see these things
Until I decide to come back
But until that fateful morning
I'll keep you in my dreams
To see you as you'll always be to me
Hoping you won't forget me
And to see you smile
And to hear you laugh
I'll always be a distant memory
