Dissonance Poem by Mamta Agarwal

Dissonance

Rating: 5.0

To be or not to be
Was the dilemma of Hamlet.

To kill or not to kill
Had Arjun in torment.

To cross or not to cross
The Lakshman rekha was Sita’s constraint.

To accept or not to accept PM’s post
The fear of backlash made Sonia relent.

To send or not to send
My grand child to school is making me dissonant.

As there is too much
Angst and social discontent.

It is a great decision indeed - What lurks in the mind Of the person next door So innocent to look at But, the heart, the thoughts How can we know, These days are troubled ones And the decisions, we have to make Does disturb sensitive souls as we! A wonderful poem describing The present situation so starkly! Angel

Fascinaing and very original. In the great decisions and the small decisions of life one is often left to ponder which way to go. But, in the end, a way must be chosen. Very provocative. Ten for you. Warmest regards, Sandra
