Diseased Heart Poem by AnaDiamond AA

Diseased Heart

Rating: 4.9

Don't you forget that torrential day in July
You walked into the room looking so fine
The tears of heaven leaking from the sky
Wearing my pretty white shoes I asked, 'Is your hotel nearby? '
'Claridge's, that is, come and see me during the weekend -
With pure intentions; wouldn't want hurt someone so divine'
Still remember how you promised to always be mine
But our first kiss was our last goodbye
The world spanned at one glance as you shined
Whispered, 'We have to stop pretending'
But the hottest love will always have the coldest ending

When we loved, we astonished
The touch of his fingers felt heavenly
I knew that my baby loved me badly
The sensation ran through my nerves
We knew love was all we deserved

We kissed United Kingdom under our bed sheets;
One single body pumping England's heartbeats
'Diamond Doll, put your white shoes on and hop on the front seat
We are going to take a ride to the uptown streets'

When the love failed, we lost it all
I could feel him screaming for me through the city walls
I believed we could save each other from this pain,
We could make it big and our love would still remain
He could've taken me around the world with his private plane,
Like he mentioned how his previous mistress, 'overdosed on cocaine while sipping her champagne, '
Sounds similar to the tale of Love and Cobain
But our story was different; we felt it deep in our bones
This love was driving us insane

Lovers set ablaze
Like a play straight from La Scala
We were running out of days
Two characters trying to catch the dream -
And tragedy was set out to be the main theme

Wasn't I always the one who dreamt of living a life so rock n' roll?
Gambino or Al Capone - baby, you can choose your role
So come on, hand me that bankroll
I am dancing black hair pinned up smiling like a doll
You can watch me do the night shift on the poll
Only for you

But, boy, you're a killer
Can you hear how my heart is crying a river?
Every time we touch you give me shivers
Today you are my superman
Tomorrow somebody else will be your Lois Lane
Who is to save me then?

All of the people in this world and I fell for you
Wouldn't want to love anybody else but you
Except your existence turns my heart from red to blue
Come on, patrol, and take me home
If I stay with you,
Your diseased heart might give me a deadly flu
