☆ Poetry by Wen Yiduo (1899-1946, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)

I am coming, I cry, and spurt blood and tears
'This is not my China, no, no! '
I am coming because I heard you calling me to here
Hold a fire, whip gust of time
I am coming, but do not know that it’s a lie
I meet a nightmare, not you?
That's horrible, is a nightmare hanging on the cliff.
That's not you, that's not my favorite!
I ask closely the sky, question closely the wind all around
I asked, (fists beat the bare chest of the ground)
But always can't ask any news; I call you, I cry
Vomit a heart - in my mind!
