Tell me who i am
Because i dont know
I live my life
Like its just another day
Its one thing
One thing i have longed to know
They tell me this
Tell me that
But how do i know
The one that will make me bliss
I've read so many books
Some say i'm the salt of the earth
That i'm everything put together
To make earth
I'm told i'm the light of the world
That i shine so bright
The sun cant even stand me
All in all
I'm told
I'm God's child
That's just one part

Who am i?
This other part tells me
I am who i want to be
I am who people see in me
I am not you
I am me
But i still ask
Who is me?
I still find it hard
So hard to trace my roots
It's a cruel world we live in
Everyone lives for himself alone
I hope before my time expires
I would discover what i require
Just when i meet with the Messiah
