Disconnect Poem by RayJohn Tagayon

Disconnect

Rating: 2.3

Cut the strings before they bind you
To the things you think will stay
Nothing's yours to own tomorrow
Only ashes, white and gray

Sever the hand before it holds on
To feelings you think will last
There will be no one there the next day
You will move on, it will pass

Forget the love you think you have
To those you think who feel the same
There will be no one in sight when you wake up
You will be lonely, so they say

But you're alive, you are breathing
And though you may always walk alone
You don't need them, they don't need you
You are perfect, on your own

You will make it, that's for sure
Disconnect, set everything aside
Because maybe we can only live
When we all died a bit inside
