Dirge Poem by Morgan Michaels

Dirge

From a father's misery,
a mother's tragedy,
one brother's treachery,
another's irony
a sister's perfidy
a wife's adultery
you fashioned yourself
a poet, Lord.
O floating world
of consciousness
can you wonder why
his verses are so cheery?
