Dip, Oars, Rise Poem by Morgan Michaels

Dip, Oars, Rise

Dip, oars, rise
and lucent waters drip
green from the curved blades.
Whirligig and waterspout, spin
in the wake's impenetrable jade;
Wands of yellow willow float
motionless in the bridge's shade.
Blackbird, stretch your wing, your throat
Take me with you, disappearing boat.
