Dionysiac Offerings Poem by Rubius Nox

Dionysiac Offerings

The Orgion drained through the beer bong
Which they circled gargling, exposed,
It was baselines vitalizing the thunder of immortal youth,
It was cutting a wildfire in those lukewarm and slumbering.
It was roses painted as daringly bold and fevered as they are,
they were swaying perfume under the street light.
Now soma began to unfold our darling buds
Now sweating euphoria, to uncivil ecstasy.
Once more before it was all to fade.
Neon, cherry lipstick, rushing fantasies,
the nearness of it all emerging.
Leave me here with the ripened lotus eaters,
Leave me hollow, to smoke this life numb and laugh.
Where chaos and stifling pheromones fill a basement,
and reckless adonises take their pleasures,
raising to the charm of sparkling nymphs,
and glacé beauties scintillating as brands,
go-merry-round the spontaneous city,
where we bruised our childhoods
and drift back to the grey-
I was lost to a new love,
We were in oblivion's dancing,
At dawn we were set free.
