Dilemma Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

Dilemma

It was a terrible feeling for me,
I knew I didn't do the justice,
I surely deserved to be punished,
But as a human being,
My basic Instinct was always to protect myself from any retribution
And find myself happy and contented.
What should I do?
I was in a great dilemma,
Abruptly someone knocked me from my inner realm
And advised me judiciously to accept punishment for my misdeed,
I was greatly relieved then,
As I believed he always told me the truth.
