Dil Chahta hai

Tere pyar me do lafz likhne ka dil chahta hai,
do lafz likhta hu to dil behel jata hai,
koshishes karte hai hum na kare pyar,
par teri yaad me aur pyar ho jata hai...

Teri mohobaat me do lafz likhne ka jee chahta hai,
do lafz likhta hu to jee bhek jata hai,
sochta hu tujhse dur chala jau,
par phir tujhe baaho me lene ka mann ho jata hai...

Teri khubsurati pe do lafz likhne ka mann chahta hai,
do lafz likhta hu to mann bekabu ho jata hai,
hasrat hai ki duniya se chupa lu tumhe,
par phir yaad aata hai chand kaha chup pata hai..

Poem of the Day

poet Walt Whitman

ARM’D year! year of the struggle!
No dainty rhymes or sentimental love verses for you, terrible year!
Not you as some pale poetling, seated at a desk, lisping cadenzas
piano;
