Shahzia Batool

I live moment by moment
no saving, planning, scheming for future
my present is my treasure
my present is my life
what is there behind my words
is simple, tender, gentle heart
i'm thirsty for the nectar of love
brewed in the cellars of pure affection

am i wrong if i show my parched tongue
in need of the honeyed word my ears heard once
and my eyes read many times addressed to me?
my heart knows no policies
no politics
a kind and mild heart
alive and wild heart
a pure and child heart

    A beautiful write didi.......
An affectionate and humble write indeed.......
A child heart, a mild heart, cute rhyming...
Its always good to be a child at heart, give, crave for love in return (although not advisable) , forget the past, cherish the present and greet everyone with a smile........
May this write of your fill joy in hearts forever! ....

Remember always, follow your heart, what is in it, what is a wish, follow through, because there lies lessons for you, let them be good or bad, but just open for what is there. I went through many of these feelings and I know I sure got my lessons, why I bless everybody in my life because they made me what I am today. When you get it, the whole world will be your best friend. (Report) Reply

So beautifully written. Living in present is the best policy without worrying what happened and what will happen. You do have a child's heart: alive, wild and pure. (Report) Reply

in the last 3 lines if you omit heart heart heart,3 times, yet the meaning is clear and understood,2nd line is very weak..hower 2nd stanza is the heart of the poem and where from the poem stands out and out.....a lovely poem, have i gone very critical? yet i love this poem.....give you 10... This z the kind of poetry I enjoy the most; no polemics, no scope for rejoinders, no need for a defense. Flowing straight from an untouched corner of the heart without any jerks from hard sounding vocab. Keep it up, lady! (Report) Reply
