Dictionary Friend Poem by Esther Ayala

I think of a dictionary when I think of you,
Many words and many thoughts,
Intelligent, sweet and true.

Like a Dictionary, one who always shares,
A definition of a Friend who cares.

And when I am sad and filled with pain,
From you, words of comfort I have gain.

And when I am confused the power of words help me cope,
Yes learning from one can help one hope.

Being taught is a gift of Wisdom you can gain,
Give and take each word without refrain.

From A to Z, come and learn with me,
Take the good and the bad is how it should be.

Don’t pick and choose certain parts,
Learning from each other from the heart.

Yes I think of a Dictionary when I think of you,
Learning to have and keeping a Friend that is true,
Is what I am continuing to hold anew.
