Diary Of A Deserted Lover Poem by Abdul Hakeem Parannur

Diary Of A Deserted Lover

The day came at last
The time for departing
My love left me today
In her wedding garbs

An angel so pretty
Never have I seen
With eyes so wide
More pretty gals

My heart throbbed
To say ‘no’ to her
I was dumb and deaf
My words left unsaid.

I found her happy
The moment she waited
Is at hand at last
End to months’ long wait

“You’re the jewel I lost
Still I love you much
May god bless you two
And live long happily”

What else I can give her
Other than these greetings
May I be not a block
In your ways of delight.
