Diagnosis Depression Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

Diagnosis Depression

Rating: 5.0

It's dark and dingy
Disturbingly cold
It sucks up your vitality
It ruthless it's bold

More hollow than empty
It's needs are so scanty
Can survive all the laughs
Simple pleasures are passé

Feels strangely secure
Where loneliness lures
Desperately dementing
Thrives on lamenting

A natural killer
Puts you in
self destructive mode
You no longer savour
Life's one more day anymore

Constant feeling of guilt
Seems so strongly inbuilt
Esteem touches the floor
Cannot look up no more

Heart is heavy and sad
Unknown fears and the dread
Keep you prisoner in hold
As you struggle to be bold

Depression is a real thing
Malady that kills you from within
While your stories go untold
It's pain has eaten up your core

In the end
Tears just tear you apart
Fears force you to take
The escapist's path

Thoughtful write. Beautiful lines...Very true said in few lines.... Depression is a real thing Malady that kills you from within While your stories go untold It's pain has eaten up your core Very true said, it is really a sad state of mind. To over come depression, it's really very difficult. Loved the way you presented it. Thanks for sharing with us.

I dont know or have the words.. Haha i wish i could touch each one of these people that are us. And i try, with my words. I want them, us, etc to see the future, its unknown, belongs to us. We create our own, so after writing the poem that maybe inspired yours. Its a deep deep day for me. A lot of words for not having any, i know...
