Destiny Poem by Rik Bertrand

Destiny

We are born on a road of Faith;
moving down the path of the straight and narrow.
Throughout our life we will sway and waiver
and our path will bend as if a broken arrow.

There is a saying that “it is our Destiny”
In the end it is what awaits us all.
My Destiny is not yours, and yours is not mine,
Unless we were meant and Destiny calls.

Choices made can be good or bad,
They can change the here and now
Choices made do not change the end
They only change the when and how.

Destiny is the end for all; it is what is supposed to be.
Destiny is the end of the book, the final chapter, the End.
So if you want to see many more days,
Your Destiny you must extend.

Destiny, it’s our Destiny; it is what it is supposed to be.
Life’s little pick me ups, the tears, and the cheers.
Don’t fret, do NOT regret, let life be as it is.
Destiny is Destiny, throw away the fears.

Like the song said, so, so long ago
“What will be will be”
So live life free and be open to all,
Be happy, be lively, what will be will be.

REB to my daughter (NikkiI) JUL 2011
