Destiny Poem by Nina gáspari

Destiny

I used to search for happinness
Gazing into somebody else´s eyes
The simple sound of a certain voice
Was all I needed to smile
And it was the best melody for my tired ears
I felt a rush in my heart
A certain crazy reason to feel alive
I would even sing out loud a few times
Couldn´t help but express my joy
At its prime
Sitting at the dinner table at a fancy restaurant
I used to look at the cars insanely passing me by
And wonder how can this fragile sentiment
Take me so high
I used to search for the undiscoverable
Trying to find the answers
For the unasked questions
Trying to decipher mixed dreams
Trying to throw stones in a river that´s so deep
A river called destiny.
